The spring-like weather is more than enough reason to make plans to get out of the house tonight.

Tonight, museums all over open their doors later than usual for after-hours events: head to the Philadelphia Museum of Art for pay-what-you-wish Wednesday, the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts for its new series Art in Process and The Franklin Institute for evening hours for The Art of The Brick.

Raise a glass, or fork, to the warmer weather (finally) at Chestnut Hill Restaurant Week, which continues tonight with $35 dinner deals at more than 15 of the neighborhoods top restaurants.

Art in Process at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts

The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts continues its brand-new event series Art in Process. Accompanying the debut of new Wednesday evening hours at PAFA, Art in Process gives museum visitors the chance to get an insider’s perspective on art making via artist talks, hands-on activities, performances, tours and more special after-hours programming. Tonight, the events center around an Oak knitting circle.

When: Wednesday, March 11, 5-9 p.m.

Cost: Free with museum admission; $15 general admission, free for PAFA members

Evening Hours For The Art of the Brick

Indoor fun fills The Franklin Institute tonight as it hosts evening hours for The Art of the Brick, its marquee exhibition. The Art of the Brick displays more than 100 works all made completely of LEGOs, and tonight, the museum will stay open until 9 p.m. and offer discounted admission to the exhibition. Entry after 5 p.m. costs $19.50 for adults and $15.50 for children ages three through eleven. Admission for member adults is $10 and $8 for member children.

Chestnut Hill Restaurant Week

It’s the final week for Chestnut Hill Restaurant Week, so make plans to dine out at any one of the more than 15 participating restaurants. Dinner rings in at $35 at restaurants including Mica, Iron Hill Brewery and Heirloom.

Pay-What-You-Wish Wednesday at the Philadelphia Museum of Art

Wednesday night at the Philadelphia Museum of Art means pay-what-you-wish admission from 5 to 8:45 p.m. and an array of fun after-hours events. Stop by for yoga, origami craft workshops, special tours and more.

Raise a glass to this warm weather at Local 44’s special Pliny the Elder event. Tonight, the West Philly beer bar will be pouring draft Pliny the Elder and will be serving up its rarely available twice fried chicken. The bar is also pouring a sixtle of Russian River Pliny the Younger.

Spirit of Wednesday at the Trestle Inn

Under The Skin at the Arden Theatre

Head out to the theater tonight at the Arden Theatre presents Under The Skin, a show by a Lancaster-born playwright. The story starts with a dying father who asks his estranged daughter to donate one of her kidneys. The thought-provoking show tests the ties that bind families and the tensions that can arise when you hold someone’s life in your hands.

Late-Night Happy Hour at North Bowl
